Welcome to the Metro-West Alano Club Website

The Metro-West Alano Club is a recently formed sober social club that will serve the Redford/Livonia area. The primary purpose of the club is to provide an alcohol and drug-free environment where recovering alcoholics and those that support them can socialize and participate in sober events and activities. In addition, the club is available as a meeting place for recovery-related meetings and educational programs.

We believe that the Redford/Livonia area needs a place dedicated to sober social interaction, and that a key aspect to successful recovery is the introduction and acceptance of new, positive social behaviors to replace old, harmful ones. Men and women recovering from addiction are greatly aided in their recovery by establishing healthy social relationships. The Club will provide an atmosphere for doing so with like-minded men and women.

Too often those who try to “go it alone” end up relapsing. The club will help bridge the gap between an alcoholic’s last drink and a new way of life, as well as providing a comfortable and fun place for alcoholics in all stages of recovery.
